Inclusion And Belonging Program

Promoting an SEL curriculum is among the cornerstones of DHIFI’s efforts. We have created programs for children and teens to make sure they receive the assistance they require to experience relationships that are healthier, increased empathy, and self-confidence. We offer an array of SEL activities tailored to foster an inclusive environment in communities, schools, and corporate settings. An Inclusion Curriculum For Universities

We take inclusion and belonging activities for military families very seriously at DHIFI. Everybody deserves to feel respected and valued. The inclusion programs we offer are designed to create inclusive spaces to achieve this. We deliver presentations and workshops highlighting how important inclusion is to society as a whole by working with schools, community organizations, and corporations. Many different aspects of inclusion are addressed in our programs. This includes both things you can see like physical disabilities and invisible ones such as mental health issues and learning disabilities.

Emotional Support Curriculum

We are dedicated to providing disability acceptance curriculum for universities at DHIFI. In many educational settings, bullying continues to be a significant issue. We aim to promote understanding and empathy among students, believing this problem can be combated. Our goal is to foster an environment that’s safer and more supportive by supplying tools and strategies to help students not only recognize but address bullying behavior. By highlighting the importance of respecting differences, we help students develop a sense of responsibility towards creating a community that’s free of bully-free. Bullying Prevention Training For Companies

We’re dedicated to advancing our mission of inclusivity activities for summer camps in many ways at DHIFI.

  • School Programs: SEL and inclusion education are integrated into the curriculum through our school programs. These programs include workshops, classroom activities, and assemblies where students are engaged in substantive discussions regarding respect and acceptance.
  • Community Programs: Our goal is to extend our reach beyond the classroom by working with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. Having communities that are inclusive that celebrate inclusion and promote understanding is the goal of these programs.
  • Corporate Programs: We provide Inclusion presentations and training sessions that assist companies in creating workplaces that are more inclusive as part of our goal of expanding our reach to the corporate sector. These programs are created to address each organization’s specific needs, promoting a culture among employees that’s based acceptance and respect.

Inspiring individuals to embrace their unique differences and foster a culture of inclusion and empathy is our goal at DHIFI. During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
