Belonging Programs

Social Emotional Learning (SEL) is at the center of our efforts. We have developed programs for children and teens to make certain they receive the assistance they need to experience healthy relationships, increased empathy, and self-confidence. We aim to foster inclusive environments in various locations, including schools, communities, and even corporate settings and provide a range of SEL activities to achieve this. These activities motivate students to appreciate and understand their own and others’ unique characteristics, fostering a culture of empathy and acceptance. A SEL Program For Companies

We take SEL programs for students very seriously at DHIFI. At DHIFI, our belief is that everyone deserves to feel valued and respected, which is the reason we aim to create more inclusive spaces through our inclusion programs. The value of inclusion is highlighted in the workshops and presentations we deliver, available for schools, community organizations, and corporations. A variety of aspects of inclusion are addressed in our programs. This includes both visible differences like physical disabilities and learning disabilities and mental health issues which often go unseen.

Anti-Bullying Workshops

We’re dedicated to advancing our mission of a SEL program for students in a variety of ways at DHIFI.

  • School Programs: Our school programs are crafted to integrate SEL and inclusion education into the curriculum. Workshops, classroom activities, and assemblies are just a few of the ways we work to engage students in substantive discussions concerning topics like acceptance and respect.
  • Community Programs: Our goal is to extend our reach beyond school environments by collaborating with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. What these programs work towards is building communities that promote understanding so that inclusion is capable of being celebrated.
  • Corporate Programs: In the business sector, we offer Inclusion presentations and training sessions that assist companies in creating workplaces that are more inclusive. A culture of respect and acceptance among employees is promoted through these programs which are tailored to the specific needs of each organization.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
