We take inclusivity curriculum for students very seriously at DHIFI. Everybody deserves to feel respected and valued. The inclusion programs we offer are crafted to achieve this by creating inclusive spaces. Disability Awareness Workshops

We advance our mission of a SEL curriculum for students in a variety of ways at DHIFI.

  • School Programs: Inclusion and SEL education are integrated into the curriculum through our school programs. These programs include classroom activities, workshops, and assemblies where students are engaged in substantive discussions regarding respect and acceptance.
  • Community Programs: Our reach extends beyond schools by working with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. What these programs work towards is building communities that promote understanding so that inclusion is capable of being celebrated.
  • Corporate Programs: In the corporate sector, we offer Inclusion presentations and training sessions that assist companies in creating workplaces that are more inclusive. A culture of respect and acceptance among employees is promoted through these programs which are tailored to each organization’s specific needs.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
