A Belonging Program

Social Emotional Learning (SEL) is at the heart of what we do. Building self-confidence, empathy, and healthy relationship skills for young people is what our programs are all about. A variety of SEL activities customized to foster an inclusive environment in schools, communities, and corporate settings are capable of being found at DHIFI. Acceptance Activities For The Classroom

At DHIFI, we advance our mission with empathy-based programs for universities in a variety of ways.

  • School Programs: Our programs for schools are crafted to integrate SEL and inclusion education into the curriculum. Students are engaged in meaningful discussions about acceptance and respect through these programs, which include classroom activities, workshops, and assemblies.
  • Community Programs: We extend our reach beyond schools by collaborating with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. What these programs work towards is building communities where understanding is promoted so that inclusion is capable of being celebrated.
  • Corporate Programs: In the business sector, we offer Inclusion, and Belonging presentations and training sessions that help companies create workplaces that are more inclusive. During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
