Inclusion Activities

Advancing an SEL curriculum is one of the centerpieces of our efforts at DHIFI. We have created programs for children and teens to make certain they receive the help they need to experience healthy relationships, increased empathy, and a boost to their confidence. We strive to promote inclusive environments in many places, such as schools, communities, and even corporate settings and offer a variety of SEL activities to achieve this. These activities encourage students to understand and appreciate their own and others’ unique characteristics, fostering a culture of empathy and acceptance. Inclusion Programs For Summer Camps

We take inclusivity program for educators very seriously at DHIFI. At DHIFI, we believe that everybody deserves to feel valued and respected, which is why we strive to create more inclusive spaces through our inclusion programs. The importance of inclusion is highlighted in the presentations and workshops we deliver, available for community organizations, schools, and businesses. Various aspects of inclusion are addressed in our programs, from visible differences such as physical disabilities to invisible ones including mental health issues and learning disabilities.

Disability Support Training For Educators

We’re dedicated to advancing our mission of anti-bullying workshops for students in many ways at DHIFI.

  • School Programs: Our programs for schools are crafted to integrate SEL and inclusion education into the curriculum. Students are engaged in substantive discussions about respect and acceptance through these programs, which include workshops, classroom activities, and assemblies.
  • Community Programs: We aim to extend our reach beyond school environments by working with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. What these programs work towards is building communities where understanding is promoted so that inclusion is capable of being celebrated.
  • Corporate Programs: We provide Inclusion, and Belonging presentations and training sessions that help companies create more inclusive workplaces as part of our goal of expanding our reach to the corporate sector. A culture of acceptance and respect among employees is something these programs promote which are tailored to the specific needs of each organization.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience.
