Social Emotional Learning Activities

At the heart of our efforts at DHIFI is Social Emotional Learning (SEL). We’ve developed programs for children and teens to make certain they receive the help they need to experience relationships that are healthier, increased empathy, and self-confidence. A variety of SEL activities tailored to foster an inclusive environment in schools, communities, and business settings are capable of being found at DHIFI. A Social Emotional Learning Curriculum For Military Families

At DHIFI, inclusion workshops for organizations is something we take very seriously. Everyone deserves to feel valued and respected. Disability Education Programs For Educators

At DHIFI, we’re dedicated to advancing our mission with anti-bullying training for military families in many ways.

  • School Programs: Through our programs for schools, inclusion and SEL education are integrated into the curriculum. Workshops, classroom activities, and assemblies are simply several of the ways we work to engage students in meaningful discussions concerning topics including acceptance and respect.
  • Community Programs: Our reach extends beyond schools by working with summer camps, community organizations, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. What these programs work towards is building communities that promote understanding so that inclusion is capable of being celebrated.
  • Corporate Programs: Our goal is for our reach to expand to the corporate sector as well. As part of this goal, Inclusion presentations and training sessions are offered so that more inclusive workspaces are capable of being created by companies. These programs are tailored to address the specific needs of each organization, promoting a culture among employees that’s based acceptance and respect.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
