Inclusion And Belonging Program

At the center the work we do at DHIFI is Social Emotional Learning (SEL). Our programs are designed to help children and teens develop self-confidence, empathy, and healthy relationship skills. A variety of SEL activities customized to foster an inclusive environment in communities, and business settings can be found at DHIFI. Disability Support Training For Students

We’re dedicated to advancing our mission of disability awareness workshops for schools in a variety of ways at DHIFI.

  • School Programs: SEL and inclusion education are integrated into the curriculum through our programs for schools. Classroom activities, workshops, and assemblies are simply a few of the ways we work to engage students in substantive discussions regarding topics including acceptance and respect.
  • Community Programs: Our goal is to extend our reach past the classroom by working with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. What these programs work towards is building communities that promote understanding so that inclusion is capable of being celebrated.
  • Corporate Programs: In the corporate sector, we offer Inclusion presentations and training sessions that help companies create more inclusive workplaces. These programs are created to address each organization’s specific needs, promoting a culture among employees that’s based respect and acceptance.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience.
