Through engaging programs and activities, promoting acceptance, understanding, tolerance, and mutual respect for observable and unseen differences is our mission.

An Inclusion Program Program

At the center of our efforts at DHIFI is Social Emotional Learning (SEL). We’ve created programs for children and teens to ensure they receive the help they need to experience relationships that are healthier, increased empathy, and self-confidence. We strive to promote inclusive environments in many places, such as communities, schools, and even business settings and offer a range of SEL activities to achieve this. To foster a culture of acceptance and empathy, students are motivated to understand and appreciate the qualities that make themselves and others unique with these activities. Social Emotional Learning Program For Youth Groups

At DHIFI, we take a social emotional learning program for universities very seriously. Disability Support Initiatives For Educators

At DHIFI, we advance our mission with bullying prevention curriculum for educators in many ways.

  • School Programs: SEL and inclusion education are integrated into the curriculum through our programs for schools. These programs include classroom activities, workshops, and assemblies that engage students in meaningful discussions about respect and acceptance.
  • Community Programs: Our goal is to extend our reach past school environments by working with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. These programs strive to build inclusive communities that promote understanding and celebrate inclusion.
  • Corporate Programs: In the corporate sector, we offer Inclusion presentations and training sessions that assist companies in creating more inclusive workplaces. During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
