Through engaging activities and programs, advancing understanding, acceptance, tolerance, and mutual respect for visible and invisible differences is our mission.

A SEL Curriculum

Social Emotional Learning (SEL) is at the heart of what we do. We have developed programs for children and teens to ensure they receive the help they need to experience relationships that are healthier, increased empathy, and a boost to their confidence. We offer a variety of SEL activities tailored to foster an inclusive environment in communities, schools, and business settings. To promote a culture of empathy and acceptance, students are motivated to understand and appreciate the qualities that make themselves and others special with activities like these. Belonging Curriculum For Corporations

Bullying Prevention Workshop For Educators

We’re dedicated to advancing our mission of anti-bullying workshop for students in many ways at DHIFI.

  • School Programs: Inclusion and SEL education are integrated into the curriculum through our school programs. These programs include workshops, classroom activities, and assemblies that engage students in meaningful discussions about acceptance and respect.
  • Community Programs: Our reach extends beyond schools by working with summer camps, community organizations, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. Having inclusive communities that celebrate inclusion and promote understanding is what these programs work towards.
  • Corporate Programs: We aim for our reach to expand to the business sector as well. To achieve this, Inclusion presentations and training sessions are offered so that more inclusive workspaces can be created by companies. The specific needs of each organization are taken into consideration with these programs. A culture of acceptance and respect among employees is what these programs promote.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
