An Inclusion Program Curriculum

At the heart the work we do at DHIFI is Social Emotional Learning (SEL). We have created programs for children and teens to make certain they receive the assistance they need to experience healthy relationships, increased empathy, and a boost to their confidence. We offer a variety of SEL activities customized to foster an inclusive environment in communities, schools, and business settings. Disability Awareness Activities For Schools

We advance our mission of anti-bullying workshops for students in a variety of ways at DHIFI.

  • School Programs: Through our programs for schools, inclusion and SEL education are integrated into the curriculum. Students are engaged in substantive discussions regarding acceptance and respect through these programs, which include workshops, classroom activities, and assemblies.
  • Community Programs: In addition to schools, we collaborate with summer camps, community organizations, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. Having communities that are inclusive that celebrate inclusion and promote understanding is the goal of these programs.
  • Corporate Programs: In the business sector, we offer Inclusion, and Belonging presentations and training sessions that help companies create more inclusive workplaces. A culture of respect and acceptance among employees is promoted through these programs which are tailored to each organization’s specific needs.

Our goal at DHIFI is to inspire individuals to embrace their unique differences and encourage the development of an inclusive and empathic culture. During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience.
