Bullying Prevention Initiatives For Educators

At DHIFI, we’re dedicated to advancing our mission with a SEL program for schools in many ways.

  • School Programs: Inclusion and SEL education are integrated into the curriculum through our programs for schools. These programs include workshops, classroom activities, and assemblies where students are engaged in substantive discussions concerning respect and acceptance.
  • Community Programs: Together with schools, we work with summer camps, community organizations, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. These programs aim to build inclusive communities that promote understanding and celebrate inclusion.
  • Corporate Programs: Our goal is for our reach to expand to the business sector as well. To this end, Inclusion presentations and training sessions are offered so that workplaces that are more inclusive are capable of being created by companies. A culture of respect and acceptance among employees is promoted through these programs which are tailored to each organization’s specific needs.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
