A SEL Program For Schools

We take empathy-based program for schools very seriously at DHIFI. Our inclusion programs at DHIFI are designed to create inclusive spaces where everyone feels valued and respected. The importance of inclusion is highlighted in the workshops and presentations we deliver, available for community organizations, schools, and businesses. Many different aspects of inclusion are addressed in our programs. We’re dedicated to supplying bullying awareness programs for students at DHIFI. A large number of people have unfortunately experienced the prevalence of bullying in so many educational settings. We strive to promote understanding and empathy among students, believing this problem can be combated. Our aim is fostering an environment that’s safer and more supportive by providing tools and strategies to help students not only recognize but address bullying behavior. By emphasizing the importance of respecting differences, we help students develop a sense of responsibility towards creating a community that’s free of bullying. Disability Education Training For Students

We’re dedicated to advancing our mission of an inclusion program for students in a variety of ways at DHIFI.

  • School Programs: Through our programs for schools, inclusion and SEL education are integrated into the curriculum. These programs include classroom activities, workshops, and assemblies that engage students in meaningful discussions concerning respect and acceptance.
  • Community Programs: Our reach extends beyond schools by working with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. Having communities that are inclusive where diversity is celebrated and understanding promoted is what these programs work towards.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
