Social Emotional Learning Activities

Social Emotional Learning (SEL) is at the heart of our efforts. Our programs are crafted to help children and teens develop self-confidence, empathy, and skills for healthy relationships. An Inclusion Curriculum For Schools

We take inclusion workshops for students very seriously at DHIFI. At DHIFI, we believe that everybody deserves to feel respected and valued, which is why we strive to create spaces that are more inclusive through our inclusion programs. Our anti-bullying activities strive to fight this problem by promoting empathy and understanding among students. Disability Education Workshop

We’re dedicated to advancing our mission of a social emotional learning curriculum for organizations in many ways at DHIFI.

  • School Programs: SEL and inclusion education are integrated into the curriculum through our programs for schools. Students are engaged in meaningful discussions about respect and acceptance through these programs, which include workshops, classroom activities, and assemblies.
  • Community Programs: Together with schools, we collaborate with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. Having inclusive communities that celebrate inclusion and promote understanding is the goal of these programs.
  • Corporate Programs: In the business sector, we offer Inclusion presentations and training sessions that help companies create more inclusive workplaces. A culture of respect and acceptance among employees is something these programs promote which are tailored to the specific needs of each organization.

We work with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based organizations, and other non-profits.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
