Social Emotional Learning Programs For Students

At DHIFI, SEL activities for students is something we take very seriously. Everyone deserves to feel valued and respected. Disability Awareness Curriculum For Universities

We’re dedicated to advancing our mission of a social emotional learning curriculum for educators in a variety of ways at DHIFI.

  • School Programs: Our school programs are crafted to integrate SEL and inclusion education into the curriculum. These programs include workshops, classroom activities, and assemblies where students are engaged in substantive discussions about acceptance and respect.
  • Community Programs: Our reach extends beyond schools by working with summer camps, community organizations, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. What these programs work towards is building communities that promote understanding so that inclusion can be celebrated.
  • Corporate Programs: Our goal is to expand our reach to the business sector as well. As part of this goal, Inclusion, and Belonging presentations and training sessions are provided so that workplaces that are more inclusive can be created by companies. These programs are tailored to address the specific needs of each organization, promoting a culture of acceptance and respect among employees.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
