Disability Acceptance Activities For Organizations

We’re dedicated to advancing our mission of emotional support programs for students in many ways at DHIFI.

  • School Programs: Through our programs for schools, SEL and inclusion education are integrated into the curriculum. Students are engaged in meaningful discussions regarding respect and acceptance through these programs, which include workshops, classroom activities, and assemblies.
  • Community Programs: Our reach extends beyond schools by working with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. These programs aim to build inclusive communities that celebrate inclusion and promote understanding.
  • Corporate Programs: Our goal is for our reach to expand to the corporate sector as well. As part of this goal, Inclusion, and Belonging presentations and training sessions are provided so that workplaces that are more inclusive are capable of being created by companies. These programs are tailored to address each organization’s specific needs, promoting a culture of respect and acceptance among employees.

Inspiring individuals to embrace their unique differences and encourage the development of an inclusive and empathic culture is DHIFI’s goal. During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience.
