Inclusion And Belonging Program

Social Emotional Learning (SEL) is at the center of our efforts. Our programs are designed to help children and teens build self-confidence, empathy, and skills for healthy relationships. We offer a variety of SEL activities tailored to foster an inclusive environment in communities, schools, and corporate settings. These activities motivate students to appreciate and understand their own and others’ one of a kind traits, promoting a culture of empathy and acceptance. Sel Curriculum For Middle Schools

We take a inclusion program for universities very seriously at DHIFI. At DHIFI, we believe that feeling valued and respected is something everybody deserves, which is why we aim to create spaces that are more inclusive with the help of our inclusion programs. We work with schools, community organizations, and businesses to deliver presentations and workshops that highlight the importance of inclusion. Various aspects of inclusion are addressed in our programs, from visible differences like physical disabilities to invisible ones including learning disabilities and mental health issues.

Bullying Awareness Program

At DHIFI, we are committed to providing emotional support programs for organizations. Many have unfortunately experienced first-hand the prevalence of bullying in so many educational settings. By promoting empathy and understanding among students with anti-bullying activities, we can make significant progress against this. Our aim is to foster a safer and more supportive environment by supplying strategies and tools to help students not only recognize but address bullying behavior. When the importance of respecting differences is emphasized, a feeling of responsibility is developed in students that results in them creating a community that’s bully-free. Disability Support Workshop For Schools

At DHIFI, we advance our mission with disability acceptance curriculum for educators in a variety of ways.

  • School Programs: Through our school programs, SEL and inclusion education are integrated into the curriculum. These programs include workshops, classroom activities, and assemblies that engage students in substantive discussions about respect and acceptance.
  • Community Programs: Our goal is to extend our reach beyond the classroom by working with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. These programs aim to build inclusive communities that celebrate inclusion and promote understanding.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
