Social Emotional Learning (SEL) is at the center of our efforts. Our programs are crafted to help young people develop self-confidence, empathy, and healthy relationship skills. Sel Curriculum For Summer Camps

At DHIFI, a SEL program for educators is something we take very seriously. Everyone deserves to feel valued and respected. Our inclusion programs are designed to achieve this by creating inclusive spaces. We deliver presentations and workshops highlighting the importance of inclusion by working with schools, community organizations, and businesses. Anti-Bullying Programs

Disability Support Training

At DHIFI, we’re dedicated to advancing our mission with anti-bullying training for educators in many ways.

  • School Programs: Our programs for schools are designed to integrate SEL and inclusion education into the curriculum. Students are engaged in meaningful discussions about acceptance and respect through these programs, which include workshops, classroom activities, and assemblies.
  • Community Programs: Together with schools, we work with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. What these programs work towards is building communities where understanding is promoted so that inclusion is capable of being celebrated.
  • Corporate Programs: We aim for our reach to expand to the corporate sector as well. To achieve this, Inclusion, and Belonging presentations and training sessions are provided so that more inclusive workspaces can be created by companies. A culture of respect and acceptance among employees is something these programs promote which are tailored to each organization’s specific needs.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
