A SEL Program For Students

At DHIFI, a social emotional learning curriculum for students is something we take very seriously. At DHIFI, we believe that feeling respected and valued is something everybody deserves, which is the reason we aim to create spaces that are more inclusive through our inclusion programs. Emotional Support Program

We’re dedicated to providing disability awareness activities for educators at DHIFI. In many educational settings, bullying remains a significant issue. Our anti-bullying activities aim to combat this issue by promoting understanding and empathy among students. We provide tools and strategies to assist students in recognizing and addressing behavior of bullying, fostering a safer and more supportive environment. By highlighting the importance of respecting differences, we help students develop a sense of responsibility towards creating a community that’s free of bully-free. Disability Support Training For Students

At DHIFI, we advance our mission with inclusion workshops for educators in a variety of ways.

  • School Programs: Through our school programs, SEL and inclusion education are integrated into the curriculum. These programs include classroom activities, workshops, and assemblies where students are engaged in substantive discussions concerning respect and acceptance.
  • Community Programs: Our goal is to extend our reach past the classroom by working with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. Having inclusive communities that celebrate inclusion and promote understanding is what these programs work towards.
  • Corporate Programs: In the business sector, we offer Inclusion presentations and training sessions that assist companies in creating workplaces that are more inclusive. During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
