Inclusion Activities

Social Emotional Learning (SEL) is at the heart of our efforts. We’ve created programs for children and teens to make sure they receive the assistance they require to experience relationships that are healthier, increased empathy, and a boost to their confidence. A range of SEL activities tailored to foster an inclusive environment in schools, communities, and corporate settings are capable of being found at DHIFI. To foster a culture of acceptance and empathy, students are motivated to appreciate and understand the qualities that make themselves and others unique with these activities. Belonging Curriculum For Middle Schools

At DHIFI, empathy-based initiatives for students is something we take very seriously. Everybody deserves to feel valued and respected. Anti-Bullying Training For Military Families

At DHIFI, we advance our mission with emotional support training for educators in a variety of ways.

  • School Programs: Through our programs for schools, inclusion and SEL education are integrated into the curriculum. Students are engaged in meaningful discussions regarding respect and acceptance through these programs, which include workshops, classroom activities, and assemblies.
  • Community Programs: Our reach extends beyond schools by collaborating with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. These programs aim to build inclusive communities that promote understanding and celebrate inclusion.
  • Corporate Programs: Our goal is to expand our reach to the business sector as well. As part of this goal, Inclusion, and Belonging presentations and training sessions are provided so that workplaces that are more inclusive can be created by companies. The specific needs of each organization are taken into account with these programs. A culture of respect and acceptance among employees is what these programs promote.

Inspiring individuals to embrace their unique differences and encourage the development of a culture of inclusion and empathy is DHIFI’s goal. During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience.
