Disability Acceptance Workshop For Students

We advance our mission of inclusivity workshop for students in many ways at DHIFI.

  • School Programs: Through our programs for schools, inclusion and SEL education are integrated into the curriculum. Students are engaged in meaningful discussions concerning respect and acceptance through these programs, which include workshops, classroom activities, and assemblies.
  • Community Programs: Together with schools, we work with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. These programs strive to build inclusive communities that celebrate inclusion and promote understanding.
  • Corporate Programs: Our goal is to expand our reach to the corporate sector as well. As part of this goal, Inclusion presentations and training sessions are offered so that workplaces that are more inclusive can be created by companies. Each organization’s needs are taken into consideration with these programs. A culture of respect and acceptance among employees is what these programs promote.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience.
