Our goal at Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It is utilizing a SEL curriculum for summer camps to advance mutual respect and tolerance. At the center the work we do at DHIFI is Social Emotional Learning (SEL). We have developed programs for children and teens to make certain they get the help they require to experience relationships that are healthier, increased empathy, and self-confidence. Social Emotional Activities For Students

Social Emotional Learning Curriculum For High Schools

At DHIFI, inclusion programs for students is something we take very seriously. Everybody deserves to feel respected and valued. Our inclusion programs are designed to achieve this by creating inclusive spaces. We work with community organizations, schools, and corporations to deliver presentations and workshops that highlight how important inclusion is to a well functioning society. A variety of aspects of inclusion are addressed in our programs. This includes both things you can see like physical disabilities and ones you can’t see like learning disabilities and mental health issues.

Emotional Support Program

At DHIFI, we are committed to providing disability support curriculum for organizations. A large number of people have unfortunately experienced first-hand the prevalence of bullying in educational settings of all kinds. By promoting empathy and understanding among students with anti-bullying activities, we can make significant progress against this. Bullying Awareness Workshops For Universities

We advance our mission of social emotional learning activities for organizations in many ways at DHIFI.

  • School Programs: Inclusion and SEL education are integrated into the curriculum through our programs for schools. Classroom activities, workshops, and assemblies are just several of the ways students become engaged in meaningful discussions concerning topics including acceptance and respect.
  • Community Programs: We extend our reach beyond schools by collaborating with summer camps, community organizations, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. The main objective of these programs is building communities that promote understanding so that inclusion can be celebrated.
  • Corporate Programs: Our goal is to expand our reach to the business sector as well. As part of this goal, Inclusion, and Belonging presentations and training sessions are provided so that more inclusive workspaces are capable of being created by companies. These programs are tailored to address the specific needs of each organization, promoting a culture among employees that’s based acceptance and respect.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
