A Belonging Curriculum

Social Emotional Learning (SEL) is at the center of what we do. We’ve created programs for children and teens to make certain they get the help they need to experience relationships that are healthier, increased empathy, and self-confidence. We aim to promote inclusive environments in many places, such as schools, communities, and even business settings and provide a variety of SEL activities to this end. These activities motivate students to appreciate and understand their own and others’ unique qualities, fostering a culture of empathy and acceptance. Inclusion Programs For High Schools

We take social emotional learning activities for organizations very seriously at DHIFI. Everybody deserves to feel valued and respected. The inclusion programs we offer are designed to create inclusive spaces to achieve this. Emotional Support Curriculum

We aim to promote empathy and understanding among students, believing this issue can be combated. Our aim is fostering an environment that’s safer and more supportive by providing tools and strategies to help students not only recognize but address bullying behavior. Disability Acceptance Workshops For Universities

At DHIFI, we advance our mission with a social emotional learning program for educators in a variety of ways.

  • School Programs: Our school programs are crafted to integrate SEL and inclusion education into the curriculum. Students are engaged in meaningful discussions concerning respect and acceptance through these programs, which include workshops, classroom activities, and assemblies.
  • Community Programs: We extend our reach beyond schools by working with summer camps, community organizations, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. These programs strive to build inclusive communities that promote understanding and celebrate inclusion.
  • Corporate Programs: We offer Inclusion, and Belonging presentations and training sessions that assist companies in creating workplaces that are more inclusive as part of our goal of expanding our reach to the corporate sector. The specific needs of each organization are taken into consideration with these programs. A culture of respect and acceptance among employees is promoted by these programs.

This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
