Inclusion And Belonging Program For Summer Camps

We take inclusion programs for students very seriously at DHIFI. Everyone deserves to feel valued and respected. Disability Support Training For Companies

We advance our mission of disability education activities for youth groups in a variety of ways at DHIFI.

  • School Programs: Through our school programs, inclusion and SEL education are integrated into the curriculum. Workshops, classroom activities, and assemblies are just a few of the ways students become engaged in meaningful discussions regarding topics like acceptance and respect.
  • Community Programs: Together with schools, we work with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. Having inclusive communities that celebrate inclusion and promote understanding is what these programs work towards.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
