An Inclusion Curriculum

At the center the work we do at DHIFI is Social Emotional Learning (SEL). Our programs are crafted to help children and teens develop empathy, self-confidence and skills for healthy relationships. Disability Education Workshop For Universities

We’re dedicated to advancing our mission of disability education programs for educators in a variety of ways at DHIFI.

  • School Programs: Our school programs are crafted to integrate inclusion and SEL education into the curriculum. Students are engaged in meaningful discussions about acceptance and respect through these programs, which include workshops, classroom activities, and assemblies.
  • Community Programs: Our reach extends beyond schools by working with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. The main objective of these programs is building communities where understanding is promoted so that inclusion is capable of being celebrated.
  • Corporate Programs: We aim for our reach to expand to the business sector as well. To this end, Inclusion, and Belonging presentations and training sessions are provided so that workplaces that are more inclusive are capable of being created by companies. These programs are created to address the specific needs of each organization, promoting a culture among employees that’s built acceptance and respect.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience.
