An Inclusion Curriculum

At the heart the work we do at DHIFI is Social Emotional Learning (SEL). Developing empathy, self-confidence, and healthy relationship skills for young people is what our programs are all about. We aim to foster inclusive environments in many places, including communities, schools, and even corporate settings and offer a range of SEL activities to achieve this. Social Emotional Learning Programs For Youth Groups

At DHIFI, we take SEL programs for educators very seriously. Everybody deserves to feel valued and respected. The inclusion programs we offer are designed to achieve this by creating inclusive spaces. We work with schools, community organizations, and businesses to deliver workshops and presentations that highlight how important inclusion is to a well functioning society. Many different aspects of inclusion are addressed in our programs. This includes both visible differences like physical disabilities and learning disabilities and mental health issues which often go unseen.

Bullying Awareness Curriculum

We’re dedicated to supplying disability awareness training for educators at DHIFI. Many have unfortunately experienced the prevalence of bullying in educational settings of all kinds. Our anti-bullying activities strive to fight this problem by promoting understanding and empathy among students. We provide tools and strategies to help students recognize and address behavior of bullying, fostering an environment that’s safer and more supportive. Students are given the help they need to develop a sense of responsibility towards creating a community that’s free of bullies by highlighting the importance of respecting differences. Disability Support Workshop For Organizations

At DHIFI, we’re dedicated to advancing our mission with inclusivity program for universities in many ways.

  • School Programs: Our school programs are crafted to integrate SEL and inclusion education into the curriculum. Classroom activities, workshops, and assemblies are simply several of the ways we work to engage students in substantive discussions regarding topics like respect and acceptance.
  • Community Programs: In addition to schools, we work with summer camps, community organizations, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. Having inclusive communities that celebrate inclusion and promote understanding is what these programs work towards.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience.
