Belonging Program For Elementary Schools

Disability Acceptance Programs For Students

At DHIFI, we’re dedicated to advancing our mission with inclusivity workshops for organizations in a variety of ways.

  • School Programs: SEL and inclusion education are integrated into the curriculum through our school programs. Students are engaged in substantive discussions concerning respect and acceptance through these programs, which include workshops, classroom activities, and assemblies.
  • Community Programs: Our reach extends beyond schools by working with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. These programs aim to build inclusive communities that promote understanding and celebrate inclusion.
  • Corporate Programs: Our goal is for our reach to expand to the business sector as well. As part of this goal, Inclusion presentations and training sessions are provided so that more inclusive workspaces can be created by companies. During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
