An Inclusion Program Program

At the center the work we do at DHIFI is Social Emotional Learning (SEL). Developing empathy, self-confidence, and healthy relationship skills for young people is the goal of our programs. We offer a variety of SEL activities customized to foster an inclusive environment in schools, communities, and corporate settings. Get To Know You Activities For Students

Sel Program For High Schools

At DHIFI, inclusion programs for corporations is something we take very seriously. Our inclusion programs at DHIFI are designed to create inclusive spaces where everybody feels valued and respected. Many different aspects of inclusion are addressed in our programs. Our anti-bullying activities aim to fight this problem by promoting understanding and empathy among students. Disability Acceptance Curriculum

At DHIFI, we advance our mission with disability education training for middle schools in many ways.

  • School Programs: Inclusion and SEL education are integrated into the curriculum through our programs for schools. These programs include classroom activities, workshops, and assemblies that engage students in substantive discussions regarding respect and acceptance.
  • Community Programs: Our reach extends beyond schools by collaborating with summer camps, community organizations, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. These programs strive to build inclusive communities that celebrate inclusion and promote understanding.
  • Corporate Programs: Our goal is to expand our reach to the corporate sector as well. To this end, Inclusion presentations and training sessions are provided so that workplaces that are more inclusive can be created by companies. These programs are tailored to address each organization’s specific needs, promoting a culture of respect and acceptance among employees.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
