An Inclusion Program Curriculum

Social Emotional Learning (SEL) is at the center of what we do. Developing self-confidence, empathy, and healthy relationship skills for children and teens is what our programs are all about. A variety of SEL activities tailored to foster an inclusive environment in communities, and corporate settings are capable of being found at DHIFI. To foster a culture of empathy and acceptance, students are motivated to understand and appreciate the qualities that make themselves and others special with activities like these. SEL Activities For Kids

Inclusion Activities For Corporations

We take inclusivity workshop for students very seriously at DHIFI. Everyone deserves to feel valued and respected. By promoting empathy and understanding among students with anti-bullying activities, we can make significant progress against this. Our aim is fostering an environment that’s safer and more supportive by providing strategies and tools to help students not only recognize but address bullying behavior. Students are helped to develop a sense of responsibility towards creating a community that’s free of bullies by emphasizing the importance of respecting differences. Bullying Prevention Workshops For Schools

We’re dedicated to advancing our mission of inclusivity workshops for educators in a variety of ways at DHIFI.

  • School Programs: Inclusion and SEL education are integrated into the curriculum through our school programs. Students are engaged in meaningful discussions regarding respect and acceptance through these programs, which include workshops, classroom activities, and assemblies.
  • Community Programs: Our goal is to extend our reach past school environments by working with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. Having communities that are inclusive where diversity is celebrated and understanding promoted is the goal of these programs.
  • Corporate Programs: Our goal is for our reach to expand to the corporate sector as well. As part of this goal, Inclusion, and Belonging presentations and training sessions are provided so that workplaces that are more inclusive are capable of being created by companies. These programs are created to address the specific needs of each organization, promoting a culture of respect and acceptance among employees.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
