Inclusion Programs

We believe that SEL activities for schools is truly capable of making a difference in the world. At the core of our work at DHIFI is Social Emotional Learning. One of the goals of SEL is to assist students in better understanding their emotions, strengthening interpersonal skills, and making informed decisions, with a focus on students. SEL activities have the ability to increase awareness of the experiences of others, encourage team building and foster enhanced communication. Building connections with themselves and others, these activities lay the groundwork the social skills needed for self-growth and academic achievement. An Inclusion Program For Students

We also focus on a inclusion curriculum for middle schools in addition to social emotional learning activities. Creating environments where each individual feels a sense of belonging, no matter their race, gender, background, or abilities is the aim of our Inclusion programs. We take it a step further than inclusion by promoting true inclusion and inclusion – with a goal of ensuring equal access for all. Our programming is ideal for schools, corporate settings, and community groups, with interactive formats that tackle a variety of topics.

SEL Activities

With a diverse selection of programs geared toward companies, schools, and communities, we advocate for disability acceptance activities for students at DHIFI. Through motivational talks, our Speaking Engagements work to challenge preconceived notions about disabilities and other differences. By encouraging self-expression through art, as well as encouraging inclusion and empathy, participants engage in impactful activities in our interactive programs. Anti-Bullying Activities Emotional Support Workshop For Organizations

Key to our mission at DHIFI is our dedication on emotional support programs for students. A gap in understanding and recognition of differences is what often leads to bullying. We strive to tackle bullying’s core issues and equip students with strategies for standing up against it in their everyday lives. This is achieved through interactive program and candid discussions. Icebreaker Activities For Kids

This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

We work with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based organizations, and other non-profits.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
