Disability Education Programs For Students

We’re dedicated to advancing our mission of inclusivity curriculum for organizations in many ways at DHIFI.

  • School Programs: Through our school programs, inclusion and SEL education are integrated into the curriculum. Classroom activities, workshops, and assemblies are just several of the ways students become engaged in meaningful discussions surrounding topics including respect and acceptance.
  • Community Programs: Together with schools, we work with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. Having inclusive communities where diversity is celebrated and understanding promoted is what these programs work towards.
  • Corporate Programs: We offer Inclusion presentations and training sessions that assist companies in creating more inclusive workplaces as part of our goal of expanding our reach to the business sector. During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
