Find Out About The Benefits of an Inclusion Curriculum for Companies

Promoting social emotional learning activities for students to foster tolerance and acceptance is our mission at DHIFI. DHIFI’s vision is a society that does not just recognize but actively celebrates every child’s unique qualities. Giving adolescents and children the confidence they need to accept their unique characteristics and hold their heads high is our mission at DHIFI. Helping young people develop into confident and compassionate individuals is the focus of the work we do. We develop initiatives for an array of institutions, including schools, centers for higher education, local communities and businesses.

Social Emotional Learning Programs

Core to the mission at DHIFI is the promotion of inclusivity initiatives for students. This includes giving younger individuals instruction regarding goal-setting, emotional intelligence, relationship-building, empathy, and making better choices. At DHIFI, we broaden SEL’s scope by inspiring students to take pride in their distinctive characteristics with programs that highlight individualism.

  • Story sharing: By sharing their personal experiences, students achieve confidence and address the obstacles that often result in bullying.
  • Accentuating distinctiveness: We enlighten students that their various traits are advantages rather than inadequacies.

Championing the acceptance of one’s self and the acceptance of others, cultivating respect for various backgrounds, and ensuring a sense of belonging for everyone, regardless of their uniqueness, are integral parts of our mission.

Self Acceptance Activities For Elementary School

At Don’t Hide It Flaunt It, we’ve also created the Project Flaunt Hub, an online interactive platform for icebreaker activities for middle school . By celebrating differences, promoting self-acceptance, and fostering a school environment that’s more inclusive, we aim to empower students. By encouraging students to flaunt their unique experiences and qualities, the initiative seeks to build confidence and empathy among peers. The program offers various activities and resources designed to integrate into school curricula, emphasizing inclusion and social-emotional learning (SEL). Schools are capable of implementing these activities to create a supportive and understanding community where every student feels valued and accepted. If you’re interested in icebreaker activities for elementary school and want to learn more, visit Project Flaunt.

Sel Program For High Schools

There are many reasons when it comes to inclusivity programs for universities, DHIFI stands out. Inclusion programs are a vital part of our work at DHIFI, devoted to initiatives that foster inclusivity.:

  • Advocating for kindness: Understanding each other helps make the environment unsuitable for bullying.
  • The promotion of understanding: Assisting students in taking on new viewpoints, which lessens exclusionary conduct.

Disability Education Workshop

DHIFI, created by Meg Zucker, is more than a nonprofit; it’s the embodiment of a personal journey toward self-acceptance. Tapping into their family’s collective experiences with conspicuous differences, Meg and her husband-who share a rare genetic condition-have inspired DHIFI to grow into a community where sharing differences is the norm. From its inception, DHIFI has flourished into a vibrant community, inspiring families, schools, and individuals to celebrate their differences only, turning perceived obstacles into springboards for empowerment and growth. DHIFI founder Meg Zucker additionally offers speaking engagements to further our mission. Discover more by getting in touch with us today.

Sel Programs School Assemblies

At Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It, our social emotional learning programs take shape through impactful school assemblies that spark understanding, self reflection, and community. Every assembly, whether dedicated to anti-bullying, disability support, or belonging, motivates students to acknowledge both their personal identity and the individuality in others. By blending authentic storytelling, student discussion, and reflective exercises, we enable students to recognize their own identities and those in their community. These assemblies aren’t just about understanding – they’re about inspiring action and creating long-term impact within schools. Want to introduce this impactful program to your students?

Testimonials

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.

When the U.S. Embassy in Israel hosted Meg Zucker as a Distinguished American Speaker in 2015, the audiences she spoke and met with were deeply inspired by her personal story, her effective advocacy, and the early success of Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It.  Her appearance made a huge impact with advocates for inclusion and acceptance which still resonates today with those who met her.

Daniel Shapiro

former U.S. Ambassador to Israel

Meg is an energetic and engaging speaker who inspires all who meet her with her life story of growing up with a blatant physical difference and parenting kids who share her difference.   Her message of “the things that make me different make me, me” is heartfelt and impactful and resonates with audiences of all ages and backgrounds.  Meg’s mission of building acceptance, tolerance, and empathy is more important now than ever before.  Everyone who has the pleasure of hearing Meg’s story and her vision will be better for it.
