Discover The Power of a Inclusion And Belonging Program

At DHIFI, our mission is to foster tolerance and acceptance through SEL activities for elementary schools. The vision of DHIFI is a community that does not merely acknowledge but actively celebrates each child’s individuality. Our mission is to give children and adolescents the confidence they need to accept their unique characteristics and hold their heads high. Helping young people develop into compassionate and confident individuals is the focus of the work we do. We develop initiatives for an array of institutions, such as schools, centers for higher learning, local communities and businesses.

Social Emotional Learning Programs

Core to the mission at DHIFI is the promotion of SEL programs for middle schools. This includes instructing younger individuals on emotional intelligence, goal-setting, empathy, relationship-building, and making better choices. At DHIFI, we broaden the scope of SEL by inspiring students to take pride in their distinctive characteristics with programs that highlight individualism.

  • Exchanging narratives: Students bolster their self-confidence and dismantle social obstacles that commonly cause bullying, by sharing the stories of their own lives.
  • Accentuating individuality: We enlighten students that their various features are merits rather than inadequacies.

We champion the championing yourself an others and others and foster respect for individuals from different walks of life, guaranteeing everyone knows they have a place, no matter the differences they have.

Self Acceptance Activities For Elementary School

To promote SEL activities for students , Don’t Hide It Flaunt It has also created an interactive online platform – Project Flaunt. By promoting self-acceptance, celebrating differences, and fostering an inclusive school environment, we strive to ensure students feel empowered. Building empathy and confidence among peers is the objective of this initiative, which can be achieved by encouraging students to flaunt their unique qualities and experiences. The program offers various resources and activities designed to integrate into school curricula, emphasizing inclusion and social-emotional learning (SEL). Schools can implement these activities to create a understanding and supportive community where every student feels valued and accepted. Inclusion Programs For Military Families

There’s a large number of reasons when it comes to a social emotional learning curriculum for universities, DHIFI stands out. Inclusion programs are a critical part of our work at DHIFI, dedicated to initiatives that foster inclusion.:

  • Advocating for benevolence: Mutual comprehension makes the environment inhospitable for bullying.
  • The promotion of understanding: Assisting students in adopting new viewpoints, which lessens exclusionary conduct.

Disability Education Workshops For Organizations

Why choose DHIFI for SEL activities for students? Founded by Meg Zucker, DHIFI is a nonprofit that originated from a deeply personal experience and champions the acceptance of one’s self. With the individual understanding of living with a unique genetic condition impacting her and her husband’s limbs, and with two of their three children inheriting the condition, Meg has steered DHIFI into a platform that celebrates visible differences. From its inception, DHIFI has flourished into a radiant community, inspiring schools, families, and individuals to celebrate their differences only, turning things that were perceived as obstacles into springboards for growth and empowerment. DHIFI founder Meg Zucker also offers speaking engagements to further our mission. Discover more by getting in touch with us today.

Emotional Support School Assemblies

At Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It, our SEL programs take shape through powerful school assemblies that ignite empathy, self reflection, and a sense of belonging. Whether themed around bullying prevention, disability support, or inclusivity, each assembly encourages students to see themselves – and each other – in a new light. We use powerful personal storytelling, engaging discussions, and reflection activities to encourage young people to accept their unique traits and celebrate what makes each person unique. Beyond building awareness, these assemblies are designed to encourage students to take action and shift school culture for the better. Ready to bring this inspiring experience to your school?

Plan your school’s assembly this season and equip students to flaunt what sets them apart.

Testimonials

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.

When the U.S. Embassy in Israel hosted Meg Zucker as a Distinguished American Speaker in 2015, the audiences she spoke and met with were deeply inspired by her personal story, her effective advocacy, and the early success of Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It.  Her appearance made a huge impact with advocates for inclusion and acceptance which still resonates today with those who met her.

Daniel Shapiro

former U.S. Ambassador to Israel

Meg is an energetic and engaging speaker who inspires all who meet her with her life story of growing up with a blatant physical difference and parenting kids who share her difference.   Her message of “the things that make me different make me, me” is heartfelt and impactful and resonates with audiences of all ages and backgrounds.  Meg’s mission of building acceptance, tolerance, and empathy is more important now than ever before.  Everyone who has the pleasure of hearing Meg’s story and her vision will be better for it.
