Promoting inclusivity curriculum for schools to encourage tolerance and acceptance is our mission at DHIFI. Each child’s individuality is something that should be celebrated, and this is something we believe in strongly at DHIFI. We are dedicated to empowering kids and teens to lean into their differences and stand tall. The work we do helps young people grow into individuals who are compassionate and confident. Our offerings include a wide range of programs for schools, universities, corporate settings and communities to this end.

An Inclusion Program Curriculum

Core to the mission at DHIFI is the advancement of SEL programs for the workplace. We concentrate on developing the youth’s abilities for emotional understanding, establishing positive goals, fostering empathic interactions, strengthening relationships, and making informed decisions. At DHIFI, we broaden SEL’s scope by motivating students to take pride in their distinctive qualities with programs that highlight individualism.

  • Exchanging narratives: Students boost their self-confidence and dismantle social boundaries that commonly produce bullying, by recounting the stories of their own lives.
  • Accentuating individuality: We enlighten students that their various qualities are merits rather than inadequacies.

We champion the acceptance of oneself and others and promote respect for individuals from all walks of life, guaranteeing everyone is aware they have a place, no matter their differences.

Disability Acceptance Initiatives For Students

Why pick DHIFI for a SEL program for educators? Founded by Meg Zucker, DHIFI is a nonprofit that emerged from a deeply personal experience and champions self-acceptance. Tapping into their family’s collective experiences with obvious differences, Meg and her husband-who share a rare genetic condition-have inspired DHIFI to grow into a community where sharing differences is the norm. From its inception, DHIFI has flourished into a radiant community, inspiring schools, families, and individuals to celebrate their differences only, turning things that were perceived as obstacles into springboards for growth and empowerment. To further our mission, speaking engagements are also given by DHIFI founder Meg Zucker. Discover more by getting in touch with us today.

Testimonials

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.

Meg is an energetic and engaging speaker who inspires all who meet her with her life story of growing up with a blatant physical difference and parenting kids who share her difference.   Her message of “the things that make me different make me, me” is heartfelt and impactful and resonates with audiences of all ages and backgrounds.  Meg’s mission of building acceptance, tolerance, and empathy is more important now than ever before.  Everyone who has the pleasure of hearing Meg’s story and her vision will be better for it.
