Through our range of programs, our goal is to promote tolerance, empathy, and personal growth for individuals of all backgrounds.

Social Emotional Learning Program

We believe that emotional support training for organizations is truly capable of making a difference in the world. Social Emotional Learning is a core part of our work at DHIFI. One of the goals of SEL is to help individuals more effectively manage their emotions, build interpersonal skills, and make more responsible decisions, with a focus on students. SEL activities are able to enhance awareness of how others experience the world, foster team building and encourage enhanced communication. These activities help participants connect with themselves and others, building the foundational social skills necessary for success, both personally and academically. An Inclusion Program For Organizations

Together with social emotional learning activities, we additionally focus on inclusion programs for universities. Our Inclusion programs are designed to create environments where each person feels they belong, no matter their race, gender, background, or abilities. We don’t just stop at inclusion; we work to foster inclusion and inclusion where everyone can access the same opportunities. Communities, schools, and businesses can all benefit from our interactive programs, which touch on a broad range of topics.

Inclusion Activities

At DHIFI, we support social emotional activities for elementary school for schools with a diverse programs designed for schools, companies, and communities. Through motivational talks, our Speaking Engagements work to break down misconceptions about differences like disabilities. Participants experience our interactive programs to be highly engaging, fostering self-expression, introspection, while promoting empathy and inclusion. Welcome Activities For Students

Empowering individuals to completely flaunt what makes them different through SEL activity ideas middle school has been our mission at DHIFI from the very beginning, since we believe that differences should not be hidden; they need to be flaunted. Disability Support Program Bullying Awareness Workshops For Schools

Our focus on disability awareness activities for educators is core to our mission, as bullying often stems from a lack of understanding and acceptance of differences. Through interactive activities and candid discussions, we address the root causes of bullying and ensure students are equipped with tools for speaking up against it. Providing students with the skills and knowledge they need to spot behaviors of bullying in their communities and to stand against them, we emphasize kindness, respect, and empathy. These programs not only build awareness, they additionally empower students to transform into advocates for change, leading to safer, more supportive environments for everyone. Welcome Activities For Kids

Encouraging a sense of belonging and community, Project Flaunt offers empathy building activities classroom . We empower individuals to more than just flaunt their differences but to express their stories with others through our unique initiative, Project Flaunt. Storytelling sessions where students reflect on how their differences affect their perspectives, group projects that emphasize individual strengths, and icebreakers where students discuss something unique about themselves are examples of these activities. Through these activities, students not only find out more about one another, they additionally build a deeper appreciation for differences within their classroom, at home, and in the larger community.

This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

Community Programs

We work with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based organizations, and other non-profits.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
