Learn About The Benefits of SEL Activities for Organizations

Fostering tolerance and acceptance with social emotional learning activities for students is our mission at Don’t Hide It Flaunt It. Each child’s uniqueness is something that should be celebrated, and this is something we believe in wholeheartedly at DHIFI. Giving children and adolescents the confidence they need to embrace their individuality and stand proudly with confidence is our mission at DHIFI. The work we do helps young people grow into confident and compassionate individuals. To this end, we provide a wide range of programs for schools, universities, communities, and corporate settings.

A Social Emotional Learning Curriculum

Central to the mission at DHIFI is the advancement of a social emotional learning program for educators. We strive to teach young minds the ways to navigate their emotions, set positive goals, demonstrate empathy, forge meaningful relationships, and make responsible decisions. At DHIFI, we broaden SEL’s scope by inspiring students to take pride in their distinctive qualities with programs that highlight individualism.

  • Exchanging narratives: Students bolster their self-confidence and dismantle social obstacles that typically result in bullying, by recounting their own life stories.
  • Emphasizing individuality: We teach that differences are assets to be valued, not deficits.

As part of our mission, we endorse for self-acceptance and the acceptance of others, foster respect for people from a variety of backgrounds, and make sure everybody feels they belong, irrespective of their differences.

Icebreaker Activities For Kids

At Don’t Hide It Flaunt It, we have also created the Project Flaunt Hub, an interactive online platform for get to know you activities for middle school . By celebrating differences, promoting self-acceptance, and fostering an inclusive school environment, we aim to empower students. We believe that when students are encouraged to flaunt their unique qualities and experiences, the result is increased confidence and empathy among peers. This is what this initiative is all about. The program provides various resources and activities designed to integrate into school curricula, emphasizing inclusion and social-emotional learning (SEL). For schools looking to ensure every student feels valued and accepted, a nurturing and understanding community can be created with the implementation of these activities. Visit Project Flaunt today if you’re interested in welcome activities for kids and want to learn more.

A Social Emotional Learning Curriculum For Organizations

There’s a large number of reasons why we stand out at DHIFI for empathy-based workshops for organizations. Additionally, at the forefront of our initiatives at DHIFI are inclusion programs that strengthen educational experiences and create an inclusive atmosphere.:

  • Fostering a culture of compassion: When empathy and understanding are cultivated, bullying finds no foothold.
  • Promoting understanding: Assisting students in adopting different viewpoints, which diminishes exclusionary conduct.

Testimonials

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.

When the U.S. Embassy in Israel hosted Meg Zucker as a Distinguished American Speaker in 2015, the audiences she spoke and met with were deeply inspired by her personal story, her effective advocacy, and the early success of Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It.  Her appearance made a huge impact with advocates for inclusion and acceptance which still resonates today with those who met her.

Daniel Shapiro

former U.S. Ambassador to Israel

Meg is an energetic and engaging speaker who inspires all who meet her with her life story of growing up with a blatant physical difference and parenting kids who share her difference.   Her message of “the things that make me different make me, me” is heartfelt and impactful and resonates with audiences of all ages and backgrounds.  Meg’s mission of building acceptance, tolerance, and empathy is more important now than ever before.  Everyone who has the pleasure of hearing Meg’s story and her vision will be better for it.
