An Inclusion Program Program

The advancement of inclusion programs for companies is the cornerstone of DHIFI’s mission. We strive to teach young minds the ways to navigate their emotions, set positive goals, demonstrate empathy, make better choices and cultivate meaningful relationships. At DHIFI, we broaden the scope of SEL by inspiring students to take pride in their unique characteristics with programs that highlight individualism.

  • Sharing narratives: Motivating students to tell their stories strengthens their self-esteem and breaks down the societal constructs that frequently result in bullying.
  • Emphasizing the things that make us unique: We teach that differences are strengths to be valued, not deficits.

Championing self-acceptance and the acceptance of others, fostering regard for various backgrounds, and ensuring a feeling of belonging for everyone, regardless of their uniqueness, are integral parts of our vision.

Disability Acceptance Initiatives For Educators

Why pick DHIFI for inclusion and belonging workshops for students? Tapping into the collective experiences of their family with obvious differences, Meg and her husband-who share a rare genetic condition-have inspired DHIFI to become a community where celebrating differences is completely normal. From its inception, DHIFI has flourished into a vibrant community, inspiring schools, families, and individuals to celebrate their differences only, turning things that were perceived as obstacles into springboards for empowerment and growth. Testimonials

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
