Advancing an SEL curriculum is one of the cornerstones of our efforts at DHIFI. We have developed programs for children and teens to make certain they get the help they require to experience healthy relationships, increased empathy, and self-confidence. We aim to foster inclusive environments in many places, such as schools, communities, and even business settings and provide a range of SEL activities to achieve this. At DHIFI, a social emotional learning program for organizations is something we take very seriously. Everybody deserves to feel respected and valued. Our inclusion programs are crafted to create inclusive spaces to achieve this. We deliver workshops and presentations highlighting the importance of inclusion by working with schools, community organizations, and businesses. Many different aspects of inclusion are addressed in our programs. This includes both visible differences like physical disabilities and mental health issues and learning disabilities which often go unseen.

Disability Acceptance Training For Universities

At DHIFI, we advance our mission with inclusivity workshop for students in a variety of ways.

  • School Programs: Our school programs are crafted to integrate SEL and inclusion education into the curriculum. Students are engaged in substantive discussions concerning acceptance and respect through these programs, which include workshops, classroom activities, and assemblies.
  • Community Programs: We aim to extend our reach past school environments by working with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based groups, and other non-profits. Having inclusive communities that celebrate inclusion and promote understanding is what these programs work towards.
  • Corporate Programs: Our goal is for our reach to expand to the corporate sector as well. As part of this goal, Inclusion, and Belonging presentations and training sessions are offered so that more inclusive workspaces can be created by companies. These programs are tailored to address each organization’s specific needs, promoting a culture among employees that’s built respect and acceptance.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience.
