At Don’t Hide It Flaunt It (DHIFI), we have a strong belief in the power of embracing differences and nurturing environments where every individual can feel seen, heard, and valued. With our range of programs, we work to promote acceptance, empathy, and self-confidence for people from all walks of life.

Inclusion Programs

We believe that an inclusion program for students can truly make a difference in the world. At the heart of our work at DHIFI is Social Emotional Learning. SEL gives individuals – students in particular – with the tools to understand and control their emotions, build strong interpersonal skills, and improve decision-making skills. SEL activities have the ability to increase awareness of how others experience the world, encourage team building and encourage better communication. These exercises help participants connect with themselves and others, building the foundational social skills required for success, both personally and academically. A SEL Curriculum For Organizations

In addition to social emotional learning activities, we additionally focus on inclusion programs for summer camps. Creating environments where each individual feels a sense of belonging, regardless of their gender, race, abilities, or background is the aim of our Inclusion programs. We take it a step further than inclusion by fostering true inclusion and inclusion – with a goal of ensuring equal opportunities for all. Schools, communities, and corporations can all enjoy our interactive programs, which touch on a broad range of topics.

Inclusion Activities

Supporting welcome activity ideas families at DHIFI involves programming for schools, businesses, and community settings. Confronting misunderstandings about disabilities and differences through inspirational talks is the focus of our Speaking Engagements. Participants experience our interactive programs to be incredibly engaging, fostering introspection, self-expression, and greater empathy and inclusion. Encouraging individuals to completely celebrate the things that make them different through SEL activities for families has been our goal at DHIFI from the very beginning, as we believe that differences shouldn’t be hidden; they should be flaunted. Project Flaunt provides SEL activities for families that promote a sense of inclusion and connection. We encourage individuals to more than just celebrate their differences but to share their stories with others through our distinct initiative, Project Flaunt. Individuals share something personal about themselves in icebreakers during these activities. Through storytelling, they can discuss how their viewpoints are shaped by their differences, and personal talents are often highlighted in group projects. This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience.
