At DHIFI, our mission is fostering acceptance and tolerance with the help of disability acceptance workshops for organizations. Each child’s uniqueness is something to be celebrated, and this is something we believe in strongly at DHIFI. We’re committed to giving kids and teens the encouragement they need to embrace their differences and feel confident. Our endeavors are crucial in helping young people develop into compassionate and confident individuals. Our offerings include a wide range of programs for schools, universities, communities, and corporate settings to this end.

An Inclusion Program Program

Promoting SEL activities for educators lies at the heart of DHIFI’s mission. Our aim is to teach young minds how to process their emotions, come up with constructive goals, express empathy, forge meaningful relationships, and make responsible choices. We magnify the impact of SEL at DHIFI by urging learners to celebrate their individualism, sustained by offerings for education that concentrate on increasing the reach of SEL, inspiring students to take pride in their uniqueness, supported by initiatives that include:

  • Story sharing: By sharing the experiences they’ve had with others, students achieve confidence and tackle the obstacles that often lead to bullying.
  • Accentuating distinctiveness: We educate students that their different features are advantages rather than inadequacies.

We champion the championing yourself an others and others and promote respect for individuals from different walks of life, guaranteeing everyone knows they have a place, regardless of their differences.

Acceptance Activities For Kids

At Don’t Hide It Flaunt It, we have additionally created the Project Flaunt Hub, an online interactive platform for SEL activities for middle school . Project Flaunt aims to empower students through the celebration of differences, promoting self-acceptance, and fostering an inclusive school environment. By encouraging students to flaunt their unique qualities and experiences, the initiative seeks to build confidence and empathy among peers. The program provides various resources and activities designed to integrate into school curricula, emphasizing social-emotional learning (SEL) and inclusion. For schools looking to ensure each student feels valued and accepted, a supportive and understanding community can be created by implementing these activities. Inclusion Programs For Students

There’s a large number of reasons when it comes to empathy-based initiatives for schools, DHIFI stands out. Inclusion programs are a critical part of our work at DHIFI, concentrating on initiatives that foster inclusion.:

  • Encouraging a compassionate culture: When empathy and understanding are cultivated, bullying has no home.
  • Cultivating empathy: By assisting students in seeing the world through the perspectives of others, we lessen the likelihood of behaviors that are exclusionary.

Disability Awareness Initiatives For Military Families

DHIFI, created by Meg Zucker, is more than a nonprofit; it’s the realization of a personal journey toward self-acceptance. Meg and her husband, both with a rare genetic condition impacting their limbs, have three children, two of whom inherited the condition, creating a family deeply attuned to the importance of accepting noticeable differences. Since its early days, DHIFI has grown into a dynamic force, empowering educational entities, individuals and families to embrace and showcase their unique qualities, thereby transforming obstacles into prospects for collective growth and personal empowerment. To further our mission, speaking engagements are also given by DHIFI founder Meg Zucker. Get in touch with us today to discover more.

Inclusion Programs School Assemblies

At Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It, our SEL programs take shape through impactful school assemblies that spark understanding, self reflection, and connection. Whether focused on anti-bullying, disability support, or inclusivity, each assembly invites students to see themselves – and their peers – in a different perspective. Our approach blends compelling real-life stories, interactive dialogue, and meaningful introspection to help students to appreciate their differences and that of their peers. These assemblies aren’t just about understanding – they’re about empowering action and creating long-term impact within schools. Want to bring this powerful program to your students?

Testimonials

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.

When the U.S. Embassy in Israel hosted Meg Zucker as a Distinguished American Speaker in 2015, the audiences she spoke and met with were deeply inspired by her personal story, her effective advocacy, and the early success of Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It.  Her appearance made a huge impact with advocates for inclusion and acceptance which still resonates today with those who met her.

Daniel Shapiro

former U.S. Ambassador to Israel

Meg is an energetic and engaging speaker who inspires all who meet her with her life story of growing up with a blatant physical difference and parenting kids who share her difference.   Her message of “the things that make me different make me, me” is heartfelt and impactful and resonates with audiences of all ages and backgrounds.  Meg’s mission of building acceptance, tolerance, and empathy is more important now than ever before.  Everyone who has the pleasure of hearing Meg’s story and her vision will be better for it.
