Find Out More About The Power of SEL Programs

Fostering tolerance and acceptance with an inclusion program for educators is what we’re all about at Don’t Hide It Flaunt It. The vision of DHIFI is a community that doesn’t merely recognize but actively celebrates every child’s unique qualities. Our mission is to give adolescents and children the confidence they need to accept their unique characteristics and stand proudly with confidence. Helping young people develop into individuals who are compassionate and confident is the focus of the work we do. We develop initiatives for an array of institutions, such as schools, higher education centers, local businesses and communities.

Inclusion Programs

The advancement of a SEL program for educators is the cornerstone of DHIFI’s mission. Our aim is to teach young minds how to process their emotions, come up with positive goals, express empathy, forge meaningful relationships, and make better decisions. We magnify the impact of SEL at DHIFI by urging learners to be proud of the things that make them unique, supported by educational offerings that concentrate on growing SEL’s reach, encouraging students to take pride in their individuality, which is reinforced by endeavors that include:

  • Narrative exchange: Students bolster their self-confidence and dismantle social boundaries that typically result in bullying, by recounting their own life stories.
  • Accentuating individuality: We enlighten students that their various attributes are advantages rather than inadequacies.

Championing the acceptance of one’s self and the acceptance of others, fostering respect for various backgrounds, and guaranteeing a sense of belonging for everybody, regardless of their individuality, are key parts of our mission.

Icebreaker Activities For Students

An online interactive platform for SEL activities for elementary school , Project Flaunt is additionally an initiative of Don’t Hide It Flaunt It. We believe students are capable of being empowered and learn self acceptance by fostering more inclusive environments and celebrating the things that make us unique. We believe that when students are encouraged to flaunt their unique qualities and experiences, the result is increased empathy and confidence among peers. This is what this initiative is all about. The program provides various activities and resources designed to integrate into school curricula, emphasizing social-emotional learning (SEL) and inclusion. Schools are capable of implementing these activities to create a nurturing and understanding community where each student feels accepted and valued. Why pick DHIFI for anti-bullying programs for schools? Launched by Meg Zucker, DHIFI is a nonprofit that emerged from an experience that’s deeply personal and champions self-acceptance. Since its early days, DHIFI has grown into a dynamic force, empowering educational facilities, individuals and families to embrace and showcase their unique qualities, thereby turning obstacles into opportunities for growing and feeling empowered as an individual. Testimonials

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.

Meg is an energetic and engaging speaker who inspires all who meet her with her life story of growing up with a blatant physical difference and parenting kids who share her difference.   Her message of “the things that make me different make me, me” is heartfelt and impactful and resonates with audiences of all ages and backgrounds.  Meg’s mission of building acceptance, tolerance, and empathy is more important now than ever before.  Everyone who has the pleasure of hearing Meg’s story and her vision will be better for it.
