Learn About The Benefits of Inclusion Activities for Companies

At Don’t Hide It Flaunt It, our mission is to foster acceptance and tolerance with the help of disability awareness programs for elementary schools. Every child’s uniqueness is something to be celebrated, and this is something we believe in strongly at DHIFI. Giving children and adolescents the confidence they need to embrace their individuality and hold their heads high is our mission at DHIFI. Helping young people grow into confident and compassionate individuals is the focus of the work we do. To this end, our offerings include a wide range of programs for schools, universities, corporate settings and communities.

An Inclusion Program Program

Core to the mission at DHIFI is the promotion of a social emotional learning curriculum for elementary schools. This includes instructing younger individuals on goal-setting, emotional intelligence, relationship-building, empathy, and wise decision-making. At DHIFI, we increase SEL’s scope by inspiring students to embrace their distinctive qualities with programs that highlight individualism.

  • Sharing narratives: Motivating individuals to share their stories strengthens their self-esteem and breaks down the societal constructs that regularly result in bullying.
  • Emphasizing individuality: We teach that differences are strengths to be proud of, not deficits.

As part of our mission, we advocate for self-acceptance and the acceptance of others, nurture respect for people from diverse backgrounds, and ensure everybody feels they belong, irrespective of their differences.

Icebreaker Activities For Families

An online interactive platform for social emotional activities for students , Project Flaunt is additionally an initiative of Don’t Hide It Flaunt It. Project Flaunt strives to empower students through the celebration of differences, promoting self-acceptance, and ensuring school environments are more inclusive. We believe that when students flaunt their unique experiences and qualities, the result is increased confidence and empathy among peers. This is what this initiative is all about. The program provides various resources and activities designed to integrate into school curricula, emphasizing social-emotional learning (SEL) and inclusion. To create a understanding and supportive community where every student feels valued and accepted, schools should consider implementing these activities. • Fostering a culture of compassion: When understanding and empathy are nurtured, bullying finds no place.
  • The promotion of understanding: Assisting students in taking on different viewpoints, which lessens exclusionary conduct.

Disability Education Initiatives For Universities

Why choose DHIFI for a social emotional learning curriculum for middle schools? Founded by Meg Zucker, DHIFI is a nonprofit that emerged from a deeply personal experience and champions self-acceptance. With the personal understanding of living with a unique genetic condition impacting her and her husband’s limbs, and with two of their three children inheriting the condition, Meg has steered DHIFI into a platform for the celebration of visible differences. Since its inception, DHIFI has grown into a dynamic force, empowering academic facilities, families, and individuals to accept and show off their unique qualities, thereby transforming difficulties into chances for growing and feeling empowered as an individual. To further our mission, speaking engagements are also given by DHIFI founder Meg Zucker. Discover more by getting in touch with us today.

Testimonials

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.

Meg is an energetic and engaging speaker who inspires all who meet her with her life story of growing up with a blatant physical difference and parenting kids who share her difference.   Her message of “the things that make me different make me, me” is heartfelt and impactful and resonates with audiences of all ages and backgrounds.  Meg’s mission of building acceptance, tolerance, and empathy is more important now than ever before.  Everyone who has the pleasure of hearing Meg’s story and her vision will be better for it.
