Don’t Hide It Flaunt it aims to help individuals celebrate the things that make them unique by promoting disability acceptance activities for universities. At Don’t Hide It Flaunt It (DHIFI), we have a strong belief in the power of embracing differences and creating environments where all people can feel seen, valued and heard. We aim to promote acceptance, empathy, and self-confidence for individuals of all backgrounds through a variety of programs.

Inclusion Programs

We believe that emotional support training for students can truly make a difference in the world. At the heart of DHIFI’s work is Social Emotional Learning. One of the goals of SEL is to assist students in better understanding their emotions, strengthening interpersonal skills, and making responsible choices, with a focus on students. SEL activities are able to enhance awareness of how others experience the world, foster team building and encourage enhanced communication. Building connections with themselves and others, these activities lay the groundwork the social skills necessary for self-growth and academic achievement. An Inclusion Curriculum For Military Families

We also focus on inclusion activities for organizations in addition to social emotional learning activities. At DHIFI, we make sure that everyone feels included, no matter no matter what their gender, race, abilities, or background happen to be. Beyond basic inclusion, we promote inclusion and inclusion, with a goal of ensuring everyone has access to the same opportunities. Schools, communities, and corporations are all capable of benefitting from our engaging programs, which cover a wide array of topics.

With a range of programs geared toward companies, schools, and communities, we promote disability awareness curriculum for educators at DHIFI. Confronting assumptions about differences and disabilities through inspirational talks is the focus of our Speaking Engagements. Interactive programs engage participants in thought-provoking activities that promote compassion, inclusion, and personal expression through art. Our student programs initiate an essential dialogue, with a focus on celebrating the things that make us unique and fostering an atmosphere of respect and kindness among peers. Anti-Bullying Activities Disability Education Workshop

Bullying is often the result by an absence of understanding and respect, which is why we’re so committed to disability education training for organizations. Through interactive activities and open discussions, we confront the root causes of bullying and provide students with tools to stand up against it. Giving students the tools and knowledge needed to spot bullying behaviors around them and to oppose them, we emphasize kindness, respect, and empathy. These programs not only build awareness, they also empower students to transform into advocates for change, leading to environments that are safer and more supportive for everyone. Social Emotional Activities For Kids

Project Flaunt provides self acceptance activity ideas middle school that foster a sense of belonging and connection. This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

Community Programs

We work with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based organizations, and other non-profits.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
