Inclusion And Belonging Programs

We believe that empathy-based programs for students can truly make a difference in the world. Social Emotional Learning is central of DHIFI’s work. SEL equips individuals, especially students, with the skills to process and manage emotions, build strong social skills, and make responsible choices. SEL activities offer many benefits for teams and individuals alike. A few examples include enhanced communication, increased empathy, and the building of strong teams. These activities assist students connect with themselves and others, building the essential social skills necessary for achievement, both personally and academically. An Inclusion Program Curriculum For Universities

We also focus on inclusion activities for schools in addition to social emotional learning activities. Fostering spaces where everyone feels a sense of inclusion, regardless of their gender, race, abilities, or background is the aim of our Inclusion programs. Beyond basic inclusion, we emphasize inclusion and inclusion, with a goal of making sure equal access to the same opportunities. Emotional Support Program Disability Acceptance Workshop For Companies

Central to our mission at DHIFI is our dedication on disability education workshops for students. A lack of understanding and acceptance of differences is what often leads to bullying. Through interactive activities and open discussions, we tackle the underlying reasons of bullying and ensure students are equipped with strategies for standing up against it. Giving students the skills and awareness needed to recognize bullying behaviors in their communities and to fight back against them, we emphasize kindness, respect, and empathy. These programs spread awareness as well as create environments that are safer and more supportive for everyone by empowering students to transform into advocates for change. SEL Activities For Middle School

Project Flaunt provides acceptance activities for kids that foster a sense of connection and inclusion. Inspiring individuals to flaunt their differences and tell their stories to others, Project Flaunt is an innovative initiative. Individuals talk about something unique about themselves in icebreakers during these activities. Through storytelling, students can explore how their viewpoints are shaped by their differences, and individual strengths are often highlighted in collaborative work. School Programs

This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

Community Programs

We work with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based organizations, and other non-profits.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
