At Don’t Hide It Flaunt It (DHIFI), we nurture environments where this can happen by embracing differences. Through our wide variety of programs, we work to encourage inclusion, empathy, and self esteem for individuals from all backgrounds.

An Inclusion Program Program

We believe that inclusion programs for students can truly make a difference in the world. At the heart of DHIFI’s work is Social Emotional Learning. SEL gives individuals – students in particular – with the resources to understand and control their emotions, develop strong interpersonal skills, and make responsible decisions. Increasing awareness of how others experience the world, encouraging team building and fostering enhanced communication are just several benefits of SEL activities. The social skills needed for personal success and academic achievement can be laid with these activities as they help build stronger connections. An Inclusion Program For Schools

In addition to social emotional learning activities, we additionally focus on a inclusion curriculum for middle schools. At DHIFI, we work hard to ensure that everyone feels like they belong, regardless of their gender, race, background, or abilities. More than just inclusion, we emphasize inclusion and inclusion, with a goal of making sure equal access to the same opportunities. Our programs target schools, corporations, and communities with engaging formats that address a wide range of topics.

Key to our mission at DHIFI is our commitment on disability support curriculum for summer camps. A failure in understanding and acceptance of differences is a common cause of bullying. Through interactive activities and candid discussions, we confront the underlying reasons of bullying and ensure students are equipped with strategies for speaking up against it. The importance of empathy, respect, and kindness cannot be emphasized enough. This is the reason students are taught to recognize behaviors of bullying in their communities and take a stand them. This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

We work with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based organizations, and other non-profits.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
