Discover The Benefits of Inclusion Programs for Students

Fostering acceptance and tolerance with a belonging program for educators is what we’re all about at DHIFI. The vision of DHIFI is a society that does not just recognize but actively celebrates each child’s individuality. We’re committed to empowering kids and teens to celebrate their differences and stand tall. Our endeavors are crucial in helping young people develop into compassionate and confident individuals. Our offerings include a wide range of programs for schools, universities, corporate settings and communities to this end.

SEL Activities

Promoting social emotional learning activities for students is the cornerstone of DHIFI’s mission. We concentrate on enhancing the youth’s capacity for emotional comprehension, establishing positive goals, fostering empathic interactions, strengthening relationships, and making informed choices. We amplify SEL’s impact at DHIFI by urging learners to celebrate the things that make them unique, sustained by offerings for education that concentrate on growing SEL’s reach, encouraging students to take pride in their individuality, which is reinforced by endeavors that include:

  • Sharing narratives: Encouraging students to tell their stories builds their self-esteem and breaks down the societal constructs that regularly cause bullying.
  • Accentuating individuality: We enlighten students that their various features are advantages rather than inadequacies.

Championing self-acceptance and the acceptance of others, encouraging regard for diverse backgrounds, and guaranteeing a sense of belonging for everyone, no matter their uniqueness, are key parts of our mission.

Bullying Prevention Initiatives For Schools

DHIFI, created by Meg Zucker, is more than a nonprofit; it’s the realization of a personal journey toward self-acceptance. Meg and her husband, both with a unusual genetic condition impacting their limbs, have three children, with two of them having inherited the condition, creating a family deeply aware of the importance of coming to terms with visible differences. DHIFI started as an idea’s seed and has since blossomed into a vibrant community, where educational institutions and families are given the encouragement they need to celebrate the things that make them different, transforming potential barriers into empowering opportunities. To further our mission, speaking engagements are also given by DHIFI founder Meg Zucker. Discover more by getting in touch with us today.

Disability Support School Assemblies

At Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It, our social emotional learning programs come to life through powerful school assemblies that ignite understanding, self-awareness, and community. No matter the theme – bullying prevention, disability support, or belonging – our assemblies help students viewing themselves and their peers with greater clarity. By blending personal narrative, interactive conversation, and thought-provoking activities, we enable students to value their own uniqueness and those around them. These assemblies aren’t just about awareness – they’re about inspiring engagement and creating lasting cultural change within schools. Ready to introduce this meaningful experience to your school?

Testimonials

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.

When the U.S. Embassy in Israel hosted Meg Zucker as a Distinguished American Speaker in 2015, the audiences she spoke and met with were deeply inspired by her personal story, her effective advocacy, and the early success of Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It.  Her appearance made a huge impact with advocates for inclusion and acceptance which still resonates today with those who met her.

Daniel Shapiro

former U.S. Ambassador to Israel

Meg is an energetic and engaging speaker who inspires all who meet her with her life story of growing up with a blatant physical difference and parenting kids who share her difference.   Her message of “the things that make me different make me, me” is heartfelt and impactful and resonates with audiences of all ages and backgrounds.  Meg’s mission of building acceptance, tolerance, and empathy is more important now than ever before.  Everyone who has the pleasure of hearing Meg’s story and her vision will be better for it.
