Learn More About The Benefits of a Social Emotional Learning Program

At Don’t Hide It Flaunt It, our mission is encouraging tolerance and acceptance through emotional support training for educators. Here DHIFI, we dream of a world where the individuality of each young person is not just recognized but something that is celebrated actively. We are dedicated to giving kids and teens the encouragement they need to lean into their differences and feel confident. Our endeavors are essential in helping young people develop into individuals who are confident and compassionate. We develop initiatives for a variety of institutions, such as schools, higher education centers, local businesses and communities.

An Inclusion Program Program

Core to DHIFI’s mission is the advancement of social emotional learning programs for educators. This includes giving younger individuals instruction regarding emotional intelligence, goal-setting, empathy, relationship-building, and wise decision-making. We magnify SEL’s impact at DHIFI by urging learners to be proud of their individualism, supported by offerings for education that emphasize growing the reach of SEL, inspiring students to take pride in their individuality, which is reinforced by endeavors that include:

  • Sharing narratives: Encouraging students to share their stories strengthens their self-esteem and breaks down the societal constructs that regularly result in bullying.
  • Highlighting uniqueness: Our teachings reinforce that distinctive attributes are beneficial assets, not shortcomings.

We champion the acceptance of oneself and others and foster respect for individuals from different walks of life, guaranteeing everyone is aware they have a place, regardless of the differences they have.

Self Acceptance Activity Ideas For Middle School

At Don’t Hide It Flaunt It, we have also created the Project Flaunt Hub, an interactive online platform for acceptance activities for kids . Project Flaunt strives to empower students through the celebration of differences, promoting self-acceptance, and ensuring school environments are more inclusive. Building confidence and empathy among peers is the objective of this initiative, which is capable of being achieved by encouraging students to flaunt their unique experiences and qualities. The program provides various activities and resources designed to integrate into school curricula, emphasizing social-emotional learning (SEL) and inclusion. For schools looking to ensure every student feels valued and accepted, a supportive and understanding community can be created with the implementation of these activities. Disability Acceptance Workshop For Military Families

Thinking about DHIFI for inclusivity activities for universities? Our organization, founded by Meg Zucker, was created from an individual journey and is dedicated to promoting self-acceptance. Meg and her husband, both with a unique genetic condition affecting their limbs, have three children, with two of them having inherited the condition, creating a family deeply attuned to the importance of accepting visible differences. Since its inception, DHIFI has grown into a force full of energy, empowering educational entities, families, and individuals to accept and showcase the qualities that make them unique, thereby transforming difficulties into chances for collective growth and personal empowerment. To further our mission, speaking engagements are also given by DHIFI founder Meg Zucker. Discover more by getting in touch with us today.

Bullying Awareness School Assemblies

At Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It, our social emotional learning programs come to life through powerful school assemblies that foster understanding, inner awareness, and a sense of belonging. Each assembly, whether focused on bullying prevention, disability support, or inclusivity, inspires students to recognize both their personal identity and the individuality in others. By integrating authentic storytelling, student discussion, and reflective exercises, we enable students to embrace their own identities and those of others. They go beyond teaching by sparking genuine student action and developing a lasting inclusive culture in school communities. Looking to introduce this impactful program to your students?

Testimonials

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.

When the U.S. Embassy in Israel hosted Meg Zucker as a Distinguished American Speaker in 2015, the audiences she spoke and met with were deeply inspired by her personal story, her effective advocacy, and the early success of Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It.  Her appearance made a huge impact with advocates for inclusion and acceptance which still resonates today with those who met her.

Daniel Shapiro

former U.S. Ambassador to Israel

Meg is an energetic and engaging speaker who inspires all who meet her with her life story of growing up with a blatant physical difference and parenting kids who share her difference.   Her message of “the things that make me different make me, me” is heartfelt and impactful and resonates with audiences of all ages and backgrounds.  Meg’s mission of building acceptance, tolerance, and empathy is more important now than ever before.  Everyone who has the pleasure of hearing Meg’s story and her vision will be better for it.
