Social Emotional Learning Program

We believe that emotional support training for educators can truly make a difference in the world. At the core of our work at DHIFI is Social Emotional Learning. The tools of SEL equip individuals, particularly students, with the knowledge to process and control emotions, develop strong social skills, and make informed decisions. SEL activities offer a lot of benefits for individuals and teams alike. Some examples include better communication, better empathic understanding, and stronger team building. These exercises help participants connect with themselves and others, developing the essential social skills required for success, both personally and academically. Inclusion Programs For Universities

In addition to social emotional learning activities, we additionally focus on inclusion programs for middle schools. Our Inclusion programs are built to cultivate environments where each person can feel they are included, regardless of their gender, race, abilities, or background. We don’t settle at inclusion; we work to create inclusion and inclusion where everyone can access the same opportunities. Schools, communities, and businesses are all capable of benefitting from our engaging programs, which cover a broad range of topics.

Anti-Bullying Programs Disability Awareness Workshop

We address the root causes behind bullying and offer students strategies to take a stand through interactive activities and candid discussions. Providing students with the skills and knowledge they need to recognize bullying behaviors around them and to stand against them, we strongly emphasize kindness, respect, and empathy. This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

Community Programs

We work with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based organizations, and other non-profits.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
