Inclusion Programs

We believe that a social emotional learning program for military families is truly capable of making a difference in the world. At the heart of our work at DHIFI is Social Emotional Learning. SEL provides individuals – especially students – with the resources to understand and control their emotions, build strong interpersonal skills, and improve decision-making skills. SEL activities are able to increase awareness of the experiences of others, encourage team building and encourage better communication. These activities help participants connect with themselves and others, building the foundational social skills necessary for success, both personally and academically. Belonging Programs For Organizations

Together with social emotional learning activities, we additionally focus on a belonging program for educators. Our Inclusion programs are designed to create environments where each person can feel they are included, no matter their race, gender, abilities, or background. More than just inclusion, we promote inclusion and inclusion, with a goal of making certain everyone has access to the same opportunities. Communities, schools, and businesses are all capable of benefitting from our engaging programs, which touch on a broad range of topics.

This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

We work with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based organizations, and other non-profits.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
