Here DHIFI, we want to bring about a world where the uniqueness of every child is not just recognized but actively celebrated. Belonging Programs

At the heart of DHIFI is the dedication we have to a social emotional learning curriculum for students. Our aim is to teach young minds how to navigate their emotions, set constructive goals, demonstrate empathy, forge meaningful relationships, and make better decisions. At DHIFI, we broaden SEL’s scope by inspiring students to take pride in their special characteristics with programs that highlight individualism.

  • Exchanging narratives: Students boost their self-confidence and dismantle social obstacles that commonly lead to bullying, by sharing their own life stories.
  • Accentuating distinctiveness: We enlighten students that their diverse traits are advantages rather than inadequacies.

SEL Activities For Students

To promote self acceptance activity ideas classroom , Don’t Hide It Flaunt It has additionally created an interactive online platform – Project Flaunt. Project Flaunt strives to empower students through the celebration of the things that make us unique, promoting self-acceptance, and fostering an inclusive school environment. By encouraging students to flaunt their unique qualities and experiences, the initiative seeks to build empathy and confidence among peers. The program offers various activities and resources designed to integrate into school curricula, emphasizing inclusion and social-emotional learning (SEL). Disability Awareness Activities For Companies

Why choose DHIFI for social emotional learning program for students? Founded by Meg Zucker, DHIFI is a nonprofit that emerged from an experience that’s deeply personal and champions self-acceptance. Meg and her husband, both with a unusual genetic condition impacting their limbs, have three children, two of whom inherited the condition, forging a family deeply attuned to the importance of accepting visible differences. DHIFI began as the seed of an idea and in the time that has followed has grown into a thriving community, where educational institutions and families are encouraged to flaunt their differences, transforming potential barriers into empowering opportunities. This program is designed to help kids and teens build self-confidence, empathy and healthy relationship skills.

We work with community organizations, summer camps, faith-based organizations, and other non-profits.

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.
