Discover The Benefits of a Inclusion Program for Universities

Promoting a SEL program for educators to foster acceptance and tolerance is what we’re all about at DHIFI. Here DHIFI, we envision a world where the uniqueness of every child isn’t just recognized but actively celebrated. Our mission is to give children and adolescents the confidence they need to embrace their individuality and hold their heads high. The work we do helps young people develop into individuals who are confident and compassionate. We develop initiatives for a variety of institutions, such as schools, centers for higher learning, local businesses and communities.

Inclusion Activities

The advancement of social emotional learning programs for schools lies at the heart of DHIFI’s mission. This includes giving younger individuals instruction regarding goal-setting, emotional intelligence, empathy, relationship-building, and wise decision-making. We amplify SEL’s impact at DHIFI by encouraging learners to be proud of their individualism, sustained by offerings for education that concentrate on increasing the reach of SEL, inspiring students to feel pride when it comes to their uniqueness, which is reinforced by endeavors that include:

  • Exchanging narratives: Students boost their self-confidence and dismantle social obstacles that commonly produce bullying, by sharing the stories of their own lives.
  • Highlighting individuality: Our teachings reinforce that distinctive characteristics are beneficial assets, not faults.

We champion the acceptance of oneself and others and promote respect for individuals from different walks of life, ensuring everyone is aware they have a place, no matter their differences.

Empathy Building Activities For The Classroom

At Don’t Hide It Flaunt It, we’ve also created the Project Flaunt Hub, an online interactive platform for self acceptance activities for the classroom . Project Flaunt strives to empower students through the celebration of the things that make us unique, promoting self-acceptance, and fostering an inclusive school environment. We believe that when students flaunt their unique qualities and experiences, the result is increased confidence and empathy among peers. This is what this initiative is all about. The program provides various resources and activities designed to integrate into school curricula, emphasizing social-emotional learning (SEL) and inclusion. To create a understanding and supportive community where every student feels valued and accepted, schools should consider implementing these activities. Sel Program For Summer Camps

There’s a large number of reasons when it comes to a social emotional learning curriculum for students, DHIFI stands out. Inclusion programs are a vital aspect of our work at DHIFI, focusing on initiatives that foster inclusivity.:

  • Promoting benevolence: Understanding each other helps make the environment unsuitable for bullying.
  • Cultivating empathy: By assisting students in seeing the world through the perspectives of others, we lessen the likelihood of exclusionary behaviors.

Bullying Prevention Initiatives For Universities

DHIFI, created by Meg Zucker, is more than a nonprofit; it’s the realization of a personal journey toward self-acceptance. With the individual insight of living with a rare genetic condition affecting her and her husband’s limbs, and with two of their three children inheriting the condition, Meg has steered DHIFI into a platform for the celebration of visible differences. From its inception, DHIFI has flourished into a vibrant community, inspiring schools, families, and individuals to celebrate their differences only, turning perceived obstacles into springboards for empowerment and growth. To further our mission, speaking engagements are also given by DHIFI founder Meg Zucker. Discover more by getting in touch with us today.

Testimonials

During our 2019 annual President’s Council of Cornell Women (PCCW) Symposium, Meg gave an impressionable presentation titled “What You Think of Me is None of My Business: Embracing Your Superpower” which embodied our theme of PCCW Celebrates One Cornell: Diversity and Inclusion.” Not only was Meg’s presentation insightful, thoughtful and impactful, but she captivated the audience. Sharing stories about those who go through life with visible and invisible differences made us aware that we all face difficulties and challenges in many ways, but together, through education and awareness, we can be compassionate, loving and caring to everyone, no matter the trials and tribulations ahead.

When the U.S. Embassy in Israel hosted Meg Zucker as a Distinguished American Speaker in 2015, the audiences she spoke and met with were deeply inspired by her personal story, her effective advocacy, and the early success of Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It.  Her appearance made a huge impact with advocates for inclusion and acceptance which still resonates today with those who met her.

Daniel Shapiro

former U.S. Ambassador to Israel

Meg is an energetic and engaging speaker who inspires all who meet her with her life story of growing up with a blatant physical difference and parenting kids who share her difference.   Her message of “the things that make me different make me, me” is heartfelt and impactful and resonates with audiences of all ages and backgrounds.  Meg’s mission of building acceptance, tolerance, and empathy is more important now than ever before.  Everyone who has the pleasure of hearing Meg’s story and her vision will be better for it.
